Torre de’ Passeri (PE) is a municipality of 3,200 inhabitants. at 172 m above sea level in Valpescara, dominated by the Gizzi Castle and near the ancient Abbey of S. Clemente a Casauria. The town is surrounded by hills and mountains, in a privileged position, about 30′ from the sea (Pescara) and 30′-40′ from the major ski centers of Abruzzo. There are numerous shops, bars, restaurants, schools, banks, green areas and high-level sports facilities. Excellent connections by train (Pescara-Rome), A25 motorway and bus lines to the major cities of the Region and also directly to Rome and the international airports of Fiumicino, Ciampino and Pescara.

La casa è un’insieme di quattro strutture in pietra con sovrapposto intonaco, riunite a costituire un’unica abitazione, risalenti a prima del 1967 ed oggetto di regolare manutenzione nel tempo, incluso il recente rifacimento di tutti i tetti. Soprattutto dalle finestre laterali e retro al primo piano si godono belle vedute delle colline circostanti, della Rocca con il Castello e di una caratteristica piazzetta del borgo. Nei piani seminterrati sono presenti varie cantine con caratteristiche volte e nicchie.
L’impianto di riscaldamento a gas con radiatori a parete ha bisogno di essere ammodernato, attualmente viene utilizzata una efficiente stufa a pellet collocata in cucina ed apparecchiature elettriche nelle stanze più distanti, da risistemare anche l’impianto elettrico. Gli infissi esterno sono quelli originali in legno con sovrapposti ulteriori infissi in alluminio. I tetti sono stati tutti rifatti e la struttura è stata fortificata anche con l’inserimento di catene di ferro ai vari livelli.
